Spa Standard Now Includes Swim Spas

The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals recently updated standards for permanent inground residential spas.

The standard, developed with the American National Standards Institute and the International Code Council, now includes the design, equipment and installation of permanent inground swim spas.

The revised standard includes the latest safety and energy requirements. For example, a new section on water velocity limits has been incorporated to help designers and builders determine the required flow rates, essential to energy efficiency and bather safety.

The revised ANSI/APSP/ICC-3 2014 is available at APSP.org/Store.
