Members of the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association’s Menifee Valley Chapter in Southern California recently hosted a drowning prevention event inside the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District’s “Splash Into Spring” party.

The local water event was held in Lake Elsinore, Calif., and featured activities for kids, along with water-wise landscaping demonstrations, sewage treatment plant tours, refreshments, and an appearance from the EVMWD mascot, Betsy the Bass.

The IPSSA booth raffled off children’s life vests, and also offered free kid’s interactive books, coloring books, water watcher tags, drowning prevention materials, and information about local low-cost swimming lessons.

John Dixon, IPSSA’s regional director, along with his wife Robin, came to support the chapter and helped draw the life jacket raffle tickets.
