Poolwerx, the retail/service franchiser, has grown its Southern presence.

Its name now will appear on the stores of Pleasant Pools and Spas, an Oklahoma City, Okla.-based company with four locations and eight mobile service/repair units. Owners Howard and Tedd Fleming will remain with the operation.

The company’s brand conversion is expected to complete by end of year.

“My father once said to me, ‘To be successful in business you need to surround yourself with successful people,'” said Poolwerx CEO John O’Brien in a press release. Howard and Tedd represent our industry’s best. We are incredibly enthusiastic about the outstanding knowledge they bring with them. The exponential opportunity is that great industry leaders attract other great leaders.”

Like O’Brien’s team, Howard Fleming expects franchising to spread in the industry. “We’ve been in conversation with the Poolwerx leadership team for some time now, and every time we met, we felt more and more comfortable that this was the future business model for the aftermarket sector of our industry,” said Howard Fleming in a press release.

This latest conversation brings Poolwerx’s store tally to 29, with 129 mobile service and repair units across seven Sunbelt states.

Pleasant Pools and Spas was founded in 1978.
