ConnectedYard, makers of pHin, has debuted a new version its smart water-monitoring device. This one doesn’t float.
Unlike the oval-shaped buoy that shares a striking resemblance to Eve from WALL-E, the new pHin is plumbed in. Otherwise, it works exactly the same.
A fixed-in-place alternative could resonate with hot tub owners who may not want a device bobbing in their spas, explained ConnectedYard CEO Justin
Miller. Nordic Spas is the first manufacturer to roll out a line of hot tubs that are “pHin-ready” with a mount that the device attaches to for quick assembly.
Dealers can now monitor chemistry readings remotely and notify customers when adjustments need to be made or dispatch a service pro to balance the water.
The new version can also be affixed to the equipment pad of swimming pools.
