This year’s Everything Under the Sun Expo was one for the books.

The Florida Swimming Pool Association’s annual trade show in Orlando introduced many new educational offerings, resulting in packed classrooms.

Seminar attendance was the highest the show had seen in five years, said Wendy Parker Barsell, FSPA’s executive director. “That’s really encouraging,” she added. “That tells you the industry is still hungry for in-person knowledge.”

One of the most popular classes this year was a session on renovations, suggesting that the market is ripe for pools needing makeovers.

Exhibitors were impressed with the turnout on the show floor. “The feedback we’re getting is that the quality of attendees was the best they’ve seen at shows in a long time,” Parker Barsell said.

Next year’s show will be Feb. 22-23 at the Orange County Convention Center.
