Two pool, spa and waterfeature designer/builders have reached the highest status possible in the Genesis design group.

Grant Smith of Aqua-Link Pools & Spas in Carlsbad, Calif., and Andrew Kaner of Miami-based Aquatic Consultants were named Society of Watershape Designers Masters by the organization. Their achievement was announced last week at the annual Genesis Family Reunion and Winemaker Dinner in Orlando.

To achieve this status, professionals must take 150 hours of training, achieve 12 continuing education credits annually, submit extensive plans and progress photos of at least three projects, receive client, subcontractor, and vendor references, and receive a written recommendation from a current SWD Master who has worked with them.

The addition of Smith and Kaner brings the ranks of SWD Masters to 17.
