LPI Industries Acquires Atera Spas

Acquisition comes with patented "chiller" application, allowing spas to operate at 54 degrees.

LPI acquired Phoenix-based Atera Spas along with their patented chiller application. The maneuver will allow the Johnson City, Tenn-based firm to implement the Atera-patented self-contained chiller into its other company products.

The chiller lets consumers to control the temperature between 54 and 106 degrees.

“We felt that integrating the Atera chiller feature into our line of swim spas was a big key to continuing our aggressive growth plans in the swim spa and fitness market,” CEO David Hatley said in a press release. β€œThe ability to chill a portable or swim spa in the hot climate areas will really allow all of our customers to use their products comfortably, 12 months a year.”

LPI plans to maintain the Atera brand. Atera Spas has been manufacturing since 1996.
