Covington, La.-based megadistributor PoolCorp has made another acquisition.

Last month, the company purchased Holiday Pools, which does business as Tri-State Pool Distributors and is located in Huntington, W.V. The operation includes one wholesale center serving the tri-state region of West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.

Though now part of the PoolCorp network, the location will remain under the leadership of Philip Macri, who sold the distributor.

Holiday Pools’ retail store was not included in the sale. It will continue to operate under the ownership of the Macri family.

“For over 50 years, Holiday Pools and Tri-State Pool Distributors have been the leading providers of swimming pool products and supplies to the tri-state region,” said PoolCorp President/CEO Peter Arvan. “Under Philip Macri’s continued leadership, we will provide expanded resources and product offerings focused on further improving service and support to Tri-State’s customers.”

PoolCorp now operates approximately 414 sales centers in North America, Europe and Australia, through which it distributes more than 200,000 national brand and private label products related to swimming pools and backyard living to about 120,000 wholesale customers.

Earlier this spring, PoolCorp reported record net sales in the first quarter of 2022, yielding $1.4 billion compared with $1.1 billion in Q1 of 2021. This represented a 33% increase.
