Kamado-style grill maker Big Green Egg has promoted Dan Gertsacov to the position of CEO. He replaces Ardy Arani, who now serves as vice-chairman.
Gertsacov became the company’s president in August 2023, initially focused on product development, marketing, omnichannel and IT/digital strategy. Before that, he held such positions as chief commercial officer at Focus Brands; chief marketing and digital officer at Arcos Dorados, McDonald’s largest independent franchisee; senior advisor at McKinsey & Company; and head of new markets, Latin America at Google. He trained to become a professional chef in his youth.
He takes the role as Big Green Egg celebrates its 50th year.
