Pleatco, maker of pool and spa filter and cleaning products, has added Michael Spurgin as an independent sales representative for the European market.
Spurgin will serve as sales leadership throughout Europe for the Glen Cove, N.Y.-based company. His duties include driving brand and product sales as well as international strategic planning and implementation for the region.
Spurgin comes to Pleatco from Global Products Supply, his own factory representation company located in Puyloubier, France. In addition to being a seasoned professional in marketing and business development, he also has 15 years of technical knowledge and experience in the pool and spa industry.
“Not only will he bring a wealth of international experience to our sales team, but also be a great ambassador for our brand as we concentrate our expansion efforts in the European marketplace,” said Howard Smith, CEO of Pleatco.
