In exploring what makes our Top 50 Service companies stand out, we did some exploring about issues such as staff size, markets served, association membership and training and certification. Here, we break down some of our findings.

While residential work dominates for Top 50 Service firms, commercial accounts still generated a notable 16% of revenue.

Almost a third of the companies report 10 employees or fewer; more than half have 50 or fewer. Only 4% have more than 100.

Employee training made up one part of the staff management category. When evaluating this important component, we looked at internal and external training, along with certifications. Here, we see the percentage of Top 50 Service firms that carry each listed certification.

Association membership was assessed to help determine industry involvement — one of the six judging categories. This chart shows the percentage of Top 50 Service companies that belong to each organization.
