This yard was organized by placing terraces near the house, then a waterfeature at the center of the yard. The fountain serves as a focal point and helps divide that space into a separate room.

Walkways around the yard form almost a complete circuit from the house and around the yard’s perimeter. “It’s very important to me to create spaces that are interconnected, especially for large gardens, where you have a lot of opportunities to walk loops and not to create dead-end passes,” Thuilot says.
