It doesn’t seem fair. During summer in some regions, it’s not bad enough that homeowners must spend exhorbitant amounts of income keeping their homes cool — they also can pay dearly to heat the pool. That’s why one former builder used to install a heater transfer system while she worked in the Cayman Islands. The system uses waste heat from the home’s air conditioning system to heat the pool. At the start of the season, the system will take a week to 10 days to initially warm the pool, but then it keeps the water continuously.
