The Independent Pool & Spa Service Association was created by service technicians to help each other in times of need. The organization is carrying on that philosophy in response to recent disasters.

The Independent Pool and Spa Service Association has hired a new management company and executive director.

Cramer & Associates of Rocklin, Calif., will take over handling of the group. Rose Smoot will serve as executive director. She is a Certified Association Executive with Cramer & Associates and has handled IPSSA’s financial management for several years, said IPSSA President John Oldfield.

With the move, the organization expects to place a priority on aggressive growth.

Lester Management Services of Seal Beach, Calif., had been the association’s management firm since 2002. Amy Nijjar was executive director since 2012. “Vicky [Lester] and Amy at Lester Management have done an exemplary job over the last 15 years,” said Oldfield, also president of Oldfield Inc., in Gilroy, Calif.
