The pool and spa service industry has survived and even thrived through another year of historic growth and challenges.
Here, we celebrate 50 service operations that have continued to shine through it all. This group of well-rounded companies showed their excellence in the five pillars used to determine the ranking — revenue, staff management, web presence, industry involvement and community participation.
Their sheer numbers are impressive: These companies employ and deploy a total of 1,318 full-time, permanent service technicians, with an average tenure of approximately 7.25 years. They cater to a total of 96,434 accounts around the country — 93,476 residential and 2,958 commercial. In doing such, they generated $159.1 million in total service revenue in 2020, which is tallied by combining residential and commercial service revenue. As for that breakdown, this crew earned $145.4 million in residential service and $13.7 million in commercial revenue last year.
