Thuilot used elevation to create introverted versus extroverted spaces. A reflective area at the very end of the property is sunken down for seclusion. Leading to that space, Thuilot placed irregular stones in a winding path. This leaves the walker slightly unsteady, forcing him or her to slow down on the way to the meditative area.
