You spoke. We listened.
Over the past year, we had many conversations with pool service professionals about how PSN’s Ultimate Tech Manual can better serve them.
Two things came up time and time again: more videos, and resources to product information.
We took your advice to heart and gave the UTM a much-needed overhaul.
Because it’s helpful to watch a task performed, as well as read step-by-step instructions, this year’s digital edition is enriched with video. Howard Weiss, owner of Contemporary Watercrafters in Gaithersburg, Md., is a top-notch pool professional with a teacher’s heart. He generously spent his time and shared his knowledge with our team for a series of seven new instructional videos. You’ll find them in the pumps/motors and filter sections.
We owe him a debt of gratitude and, after watching his tutorials, you will, too.
You’ll also notice a resource list at the back of each section. These include contact information for key manufacturers, along with links to their online resources (i.e. product manuals, safety data sheets, FAQs, videos, troubleshooting tips, and more.) This will give you quick and easy access to the things you need, right when you need them.
Lastly, we know that education and training are key, especially for the myriad techs just entering the field today. To help you find the right programs and training, we’ve put together an Education and Training Resource guide that includes offerings from both trade associations and manufacturers.
Of course, the UTM only comes together each because of all the industry vets who keep us up to speed on this ever-changing industry. Their input is invaluable.
I’ll be eager to hear what you think of this media-rich edition of UTM. And if you have ideas for next year’s installment, please share them!
