Stream of consciousness

This waterscape was an experiment of sorts. In addition to the appropriate high-end amenities, such as a spa, fire feature and vanishing edge, it included the designers’ rendering of a rambling stream flowing from spa to pool as if from a pond to the ocean.

Fiberoptic pinpoint lights add sparkle to the bottom of the stream at night. “This beautiful glass creek shows the water sparkling during the day, and at night, you see the lights twinkling underneath it,” North says. The pool’s vanishing edge leads the eye to a view of Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country.
